Justice and Transparency – The Pillars of an Empowered Society
The Chavara Legal Aid Centre, in association with the RTI Kerala Federation, stands as one of the major social outreach initiatives of the Chavara Cultural Centre, Kochi. Together, they work towards empowering citizens through legal awareness, justice, and transparency. The Legal Aid Centre provides free legal advice, awareness programmes, and guidance to individuals, especially those from underprivileged backgrounds, ensuring that everyone has access to justice and equal rights. The centre regularly organizes legal literacy classes, counseling sessions, and seminars on current legal issues affecting the public.

RTI Kerala Federation
In collaboration with the RTI Kerala Federation, the centre also promotes Right to Information (RTI) awareness, helping citizens exercise their democratic right to information and accountability in governance. Training workshops, RTI help desks, and awareness campaigns are conducted to strengthen public participation and good governance.
Through these combined efforts, the Chavara Cultural Centre continues its mission of serving society through education, justice, and social responsibility, fostering a transparent and just community.
